So the early reviews for Apocalypse are arriving and it looks like we're having another BVS scenario with "where's the fun?" being thrown around while the MCU stans dry hump RT. Better get to drinking for this three week ride.  |

I've said this before, and I'll say this again: Marvel will be the death of the Superhero Genre.
Every superhero movie is now expected to have mind numbing action and charming wit or it's a critical failure. I've been seeing this in shades over the past few years, and it's only getting worse now. It's mostly noticeable with non-Marvel studio movies, but even Jessica Jones and DD Season 2 suffered from this. It's a false expectation that will ultimately destroy the genre.

There is literally no room for the standard not-the-MCU comments. It's fun and colourful from start to finish. That's what I got from the trailers, very colorful (though the 80's lend themselves to that). |
