Yep, those things that have been totally irrelevant, just like TIH *cries* Hey...not totally irrelevant. Bald Guy with Glasses was in TWS. That's relevant. Agent Sitwell?

I thought the party scene was pretty cool. I know people (myself included) were down on it before the film came out, but seeing the scene completely changed my tune. It's nice to see the team interact in harmony when out of the battle field. Solves one of those "I wonder what it's like..." questions.

Yeah, I really wasn't liking that scene before the film came out, but within the context of AOU it works well.

Joss: "So I would have put both of [those characters] in, but neither of the deals were made. And then they were like, ‘We’re making a Captain Marvel movie and we’ve got ‘Spider-Man’ as a property,’ and I’m like, ‘I’ve already locked my film you fuckers! Thanks for nothing.”
Lmao

The more I think about it, the more I like AOU. Especially the writing. Quips like "... I'm sorry" after Stark speeds beats Hulk is what makes it so great and memorable.

Ok, I'm a lil late to the party but here's my more fleshed out thoughts. In no particular order cos my brain doesn't like logic.
Intro was perfect, the movie literally opened with a splash page. That fight was like a comic book in motion. I didn't hate the Hulk widow as much as I thought I would, to me it was more Black Widow: Ay bruce, wan sum [duk]? Banner:What? No? That makes no sense, you're just the hulk's babysitter. And I know the fact that nothing came of it annoyed you guys but I was fine with that. Hulk knew it was stupid too and left, although i did want the sad hulk music from the tv show to play as he flew off into the sunset. The team dynamic was on point, it felt like they were friends and allies, not just team members forced together by mace windu. The Vision was the best. I loved that he lifted Mjolnir since he's basically morally pure. And his dialogue with ultron was pretty good. HOWEVER. Ultron was a great big, well, not a disappointment because I knew he was going to be evil tony stark before I saw the movie, but, yeah, Ultron wasn't ultron, He was Superior Iron Man. The twins, yeah I felt like Whedon probably wanted to kill someone else off originally but marvel were like "no! Here! Have quicksilver and kill him off!" So i didn't really understand the point of quicksilver's death other than to hint at Scarlet Witch's crazy power stuff when her emotions get messed with. And Scarlet Witch didn't really stand out in ANY regard to me, as she did with you lot. I didn't mind the farm, it showed Hawkeye's relationship with fury and black widow a bit more but he is totally ultimate hawkeye now. I feel like they started to stress the whole "we aren't man of steel, we save people!" Thing a little bit too much. I felt the pacing was much better than in the first one where it felt like "ACTION!..ok lets just talk for a while, uh oh they're getting bored better throw in some ACTION!" Then repeat. This one still had that but i think it was handled better. The mid credits scene was a bit of a let down and I don't really understand where thanos was. This isn't so much a gripe with the movie as it is with whedon. Da fuck dude? You said we'd get a good explanation as to why hulk an hawkeye didn't show up in phase two and it was "he was probably with his family for 3 years straight" and did we even get an explanation for hulk? As i said I didn't mind Hawkeye's family and farm but that was a shitty explanation for what he's been doing during all of phase 2. Klaw was cool, hope to see him back soon. I felt like falcon was missing from the final battle. He could have easily been a member of Fury's 3 man Black Avengers.. The new avengers is a cool line up. Although a more impactful end credits scene would have been bucky turning up to the avengers facility(?).
All in all i enjoyed the movie. Probably my 3rd Favourite Marvel movie under GotG and Cap 2. Still don't understand why people love Whedon so much though..

I don't get the hate for Ultron...he was amazing! Also, Wanda <3 I shouldn't really be feeding the trolls, but. Ultron was fine, but he wasn't ultron. Therefore Ultron as the character Ultron was terrible. And even as a villian his motives and thought processes were wishy washy
