I'm glad WB didn't release a BvS teaser, it's the smart thing to do. We shouldn't get a teaser until Mad Max/AOU, and another at SDCC. At the end of the summer, that's when we should get our first trailer for BvS, not when you have over a fucking year before the film is released. The only acceptable way for us to have gotten a trailer last night would be if it still had that July 2015 date.

I agree with most of what you said, but bare in mind that Star Wars: The Force Awakens released a teaser trailer in November 2014... 13 months before the film will be released. And February 2015 is 13 months before Batman v Superman's release... |

It gives the fans something to salvate over while we wait for a legitimate trailer that we'll probably see in the summer.
WB have to get some hype built up for the movie, they'll have been out of the CBM light for a while by the time BvS comes out.

But what's the point of releasing a teaser now if we're going to get another one in just a couple months? It's too much and superfluous. Starting this early just sets you up for over kill like TASM 2 did. And WB will have plenty of hype going into BvS, I can't think of any other film besides maybe The Avengers and Ep. 7 (maybe) that have been talked about as much, as we're still a year away. |
