Well I think the villain is certainly new and innovative I don't think that's what he's getting after. DOFP was a film juggling two ensemble casts, two periods, and multiple timelines. Apocalypse looks like a pretty straightforward doomsday film thus far. Aside from them being the X-Men and a popular X-Men villain coming to the big screen, there hasn't been much of a unique twist or selling point. Although, to be fair, the film is still two months out. Maybe you guys aren't feeling what I'm feeling. To me this feels like the most epic large scale X-Men film to date, so within its own franchise it's revolutionizing what's been set before. It doesn't have to offer something that will "change the CBM medium" if it's offering something totally new and original to the franchise it's a part of.

Sounds like Bryan Singer will stick around after Apocalypse if he's already talking about possible villains for the next one. On one hand it would be nice to see someone else tackle the main X-Men, on the other Singer still makes great X-Men movies.
Another plus about all of this is that it means Fox is planning to keep its younger cast around for more than just one movie!

Like Singer did to that 17 year old boy?

It was nice when I went to see BVS for a second time they showed the new Apocalypse trailer and I could hear people going "Oh it's the X-Men!" and clapping for the movie.

B-but Fox NEVER does comic accurate outfits You've posted this before and I made a comment about different colored leather and we got in a fight. They do look almost comic accurate. Nightcrawler has the best outfit.

I gotta say the costume that nerdy white guy in the back is wearing really doesn't fit...
Flannel?
COME ON!

I don't really care for the looks of Beast, Mystique, or Quick Silver... but I get why the look like that. QS is pretty limited look wise and they all have to have some kinda "armor" (though I think Beast still shouldn't have armor, even with that in mind)

I think Beast looks pretty great honestly.
Quicksilver not so much.
Cool outfit bit not for that character.
