I don't know how you can defend EA now. This is easily one of their shittiest moves. And just because season passes are a widespread trend doesn't justify them (although that seems to be the way most companies, studios, whatever want to call them, think these day). How am I defending EA? I'm not a fan of DLC but I know I'm not forced to buy it. Why specifically attack EA for doing what EVERY other studio is doing. Ubisoft does it, Capcom does it, Microsoft does it, Bethesda does it, why not attack them all whenever they release a game that will have DLC? I wasn't talking about you specifically, that was more of a general statement, I've seen people on other forums defend them for this, hence the general deal. And like I said above, I did mention other studios do it and there's almost always some amount of BS involved (almost).

Fucking shit, expansion packs have been a thing for decades, DLC is the same thing. Just cause a game has a season pass shouldn't stop you from buying the game. You're still getting the full game at the time. You play it, if you like it enough to spend more money in it you buy more. Don't? You don't have to buy the DLC.

But it's not the full game, that's the point. There's a line between "more of the game" and "a whole 'nother" game and EA is inching closer and closer to crossing that line.

How do you know it's not the full game? Cos that's what DLC has become! And with EA cutting out stuff like campaign mode but are tip toibg around it and keeping the complete DLC description vauge, it's a near lock for some sort of version of that to show up.

Bethesda does not release season passes. They release a [funk]load of DLC. DLC that is worth the price. EA rarely does that.

My distaste comes down to two things here: EA is a shit company, and no online multiplayer FPS is worth $60 let alone $110.

This Battlefront season pass argument. I wonder how much EA is paying them to spew that bullshit.
