Jilly, tell me if this is too far, too little, or just right:
Peter King believes Bill Belichick should be suspended for a year if Deflategate turns out to be true, just like Sean Payton.

Then again, Goodell has been ballsy lately with the suspensions and making a statement.

Bill said he had no idea what was going on, which I believe. N.E. will likely still be stripped of some draft picks, but Brady's on the hot seat now. I guess "best" case for Brady is he's fined a couple hundred grand, worse case is he's suspended for the Super Bowl (I find that unlikely though) or some of next season. He'll be talking to the media at 4 today.
Brady's also got to worry about Kraft and Belichick now, because Kraft is very image centered and won't like this, and Bill will be made because Brady's got the whole organization under a microscope days before the Super Bowl. Everybody, if they weren't already, will be rooting against them now. If they win, which is seemingly fairly improbable as of now, I wouldn't be surprised if they were boo'd when receiving the trophy. Puts a big damper on the team, sucks out some of the motivation.

I'm glad the fault is falling on Brady's shoulders, Bill gets a lot of excessive flack.

Adam Schefter is saying the NFL is having a hard time finding evidence against N.E., and if they can't find anything there will be no charges. The NFL could come foruth with their findings as early as today.
Brady's got a press conference today. It'll be interesting if he admits to it, keeps denying it, or plays coy. The NFL is definitely going to want to wait to see what he says.

If the pats turn out to be clear, it'll be interesting to see how things shake out. Things will never go back to the way they were, and I think it'll really speak to the impact of spygate and the culture New England has developed.

It's weird, I don't know what to believe. Adam Schefter is like Variety, and all these all outlets are like latino review, badass digest, the wrap, etc.
Schefter wins in trust and reliabilty, but these other outlets have the numbers.

This is a big if too. I mean, at this point we can have outcomes ranging from no punishment to fines to Brady being suspended for the Super Bowl to Belichick being fired. Crazy.

Belichick denies the story, Brady denies the story, and Schefter says the NFL is having a hard time finding evidence. Now D'Qwell Jackson says he didn't notice the weight of the football and the Patriots were using Colt's balls in the first half.
What. the. fuck.

How is it the balls were properly inspected (and I guess met the minimum weight) yet the Patriots were using Colt's balls in the first half?

One theory I keep hearing is the Patriot balls were heated up at the minimum pressure, then measured and passed, then put the balls outside and let mother nature deflate them due to the cold. I find that unlikely but wouldn't rule it out completely, and is still cheating because it gives New England a "legal advantage"? I'm not sure what you'd call it.

Still, this is all really fucked up.

Story so far...
-Patriots play Colts, beat them easily -Indy reporter releases story Monday claiming D'Qwell Jackson noticed the Patriot's balls were deflated, told team crew, crew told NFL, investigation launched -Brady laughs off deflate gate -Belichick says he had no idea about it, as well as other players -11/12 balls of Patriots said to be deflated -Reported that Patirots had regular balls in second half -Other QBs, coaches, and assistants come forward and say tampering footballs is common practice -Balls were properly checked and weighed 2 hours before the game -Reported that Indy had same concern back in November -Reported that Baltimore warned Indy about deflated balls, but John Harbaugh says the balls were fine and no such thing occured -Reported that 24 balls were actually prepared for the game, and 11 were under regulation -Belichick says he knew nothing about it, and if you wanted to know more about it talk to Brady -Adam Schefter says NFL having hard time finding evidence against N.E. -NBC News says Brady told teammates he likes his balls a certain way -Theory that balls were heated when measured, then shrunk in cold presented -Brady comes to stand and says he didn't alter the balls, he doesn't know what's happening either, confirms there were 24 balls used, and the NFL has contacted him -D'Qwell Jackson says he never tipped off crew, also says New England was using Colt's balls, not Patriot balls, in the first half

My questions:
-If D'Qwell Jackson didn't tip off the news in the first place, how did it start? -How did the balls "pass" regulation if they were deflated, or how did they get deflated after regulation? -Did Brady and Belichick actually know about this, or are they lying? -Did the weather/temperature actually play a role in this? -What evidence does the NFL have, if any? -Why was New England using Indy's balls? -What happened to the 11 bad balls, and how did they get there in the first place? -How is it Brady likes them at 12.5 but couldn't tell a difference? Does he mean he likes 12.5 as his standard, but can't tell the difference in the heat of the moment? -How long has this been going on? '-Was it intentional? -Did Brady/Belichick know this was happening? -Could the ball boys or refs do something to the balls in the two hours and five minutes before kickoff? -What kind of punishment will New England face, if any? -If it's discovered New England didn't do anything intentional and it was say the refs, ballboys, or weather, does New England still face punishment?
