The visual direction during space battles in this is pretty great, I must say.

The blu ray's for Clone Wars are pretty awesome.
Each episode has a 5-10min behind the scenes video of Dave Filoni and whoever worked on the episode talking about it.

I've noticed that the story arcs are, at most, three episodes apiece and none of them really build towards anything. Is this the case for the whole series or will I start seeing some (good) season long arcs down the road?

Is this the case for the whole series or will I start seeing some (good) season long arcs down the road? It pretty much starts up in Seasom Two with the introduction of a few other main villains. I don't recall them doing say a 22 episode long arc that takes a whole season but a story can be four 3 episode story arcs through one season. Also, some character arcs take place over the entire series or through multiple seasons.

Okay, good, I was afraid the show would just be unrelated arc after unrelated arc after unrelated arc and build up to nothing.

Its mostly like that in the first season just because you know, first seasons are more a proving ground before you can really dig deep. The later seasons provide a lot of world building and history to the Star Wars mythos too.

Giving the clones emotion conflicts me. On one hand, it doesn't really line up with the films and raises more questions than answers, but it does make for some good stories.
