Giving the clones emotion conflicts me. On one hand, it doesn't really line up with the films and raises more questions than answers, but it does make for some good stories. Why doesn't it line up with the films?

Why doesn't it line up with the films? They didn't show that emotion in the films (which was fine). It was like they were all lobotomized. In the show they're shown to have feelings, free while, value for life, and even question their orders. They was highlighted in the films, especially during stuff like Order 66. Maybe there's some expanded universe stuff that explains this that I haven't read.

Watch The Clone Wars till the end and Order 66 will be explained. Alright, good. Just because the Clones weren't given the development in the films doesn't mean they didn't have it! And yeah, Order 66 does get explained.

I totally forgot how they foreshadow Anakin's shift to the dark side through his behavior and attitude in certain moments in the show.
