*crosses fingers and repeatedly chants "HUSH"* ... ah. umm. you don't read Batman Eternal do you? I'm just at the part where he shows up, but now, I guess he won't be sticking around. See everyone, Buoy is evil.

I love the whole the joker is immortal thing it makes him so much more threatening. Although remember, it's just a suggestion, not confirmed. I like it, especially since New 52 Joker seems to be so different to anything we've seen before, he feels like a monster more than a man.

I'm on issue 26 (roughly) and yeah, he's pretty useless. So far he just feels like a less threatening version of himself. He's nothing like in BM:Hush.

Unrelated side note Batman: Hush is my favourite Batman story

I've never really liked Hush, as a character, to me he's always been a pawn. I do like Hush, the book, however.

Whilst the art work is amazing and the storytelling is fun, I don't really like what's happening with the Joker. The reveal that he knows Batman's identity was great but the whole immortal, has been in Gotham forever thing doesn't sit well with me.
add that to the city being infected along with the JL and Batman only having hours to save everyone and it's something of an impossible situation. I hope he doesn't cheap out like this but I can see the 'it was all a dream' technique being used here.

As I said above, the whole imortalitly thing is just a suggestion, we're in the same position as Batman, we don't want to believe it but there's a lot of evidence towards it. it's the same as the Red Hood 1 stuff in zero year. It's a possibility of what the joker's origin is. But I doubt we'll ever find out the truth, and quite frankly I don't want to.

And I doubt Snyder and Capullo will do the whole dream thing. Remember there are a couple of tie ins to Endgame and I doubt they would happen if it was all batman's dream.

I personally like thinking Joker is immortal...
Even if it isn't true.
Hell Batman may ACTUALLY try and kill him.
Then what if he doesn't come back?
Then Joker wins right?
I love rum.

I like it, in many ways it makes him even more mysterious. We thought we kind of understood him and now we, along with bats, have realised that we don't know him at all.

That's the whole point of this story no? Batman now knows he actually knows nothing about Joker and Joker knows everything about Batman.

So I just read it. Last page was the best moment.
I'm kinda on the fence about the Joker because I'm fascinated by him knowing Batman's identity, but I'm mixed about this idea of him being immortal. Sometimes I like it, sometimes it feels off. But I cannot wait to see where it all ends up.
I feel like the Red Hood stuff will play a big part in the final two issues. Snyder said that Zero Year: Secret City, Death of the Family and Endgame make up the three parts of his Joker story, and since Endgame is his last crack at the Clown Prince of Crime, it would be amazing to see the beginning play a big part in the end.
This is an awesome storyline. It's only a few more weeks 'til the next ish!
