No, I really doubt the dream thing.
I just prefer my Joker as a man, a mysterious man but a man nonetheless. Mixing him with the supernatural/superpowered doesn't work for me. It's great storytelling in that it makes you question everything. Like when Jim first discovers the photos I was like 'what the fuck?' - but I found the reveal of Joker working in Arkham a better one
The immortal thing answers some questions but how does Joker know all the things he knows?
I really hope they've thought it through to the end

I like it, in many ways it makes him even more mysterious. We thought we kind of understood him and now we, along with bats, have realised that we don't know him at all. That's the whole point of this story no? Batman now knows he actually knows nothing about Joker and Joker knows everything about Batman. Yup. It's great.

But seriously, I had ZERO idea it was Crazy Quilt until I went online and read interviews with Scott about the issue.

I really hope they've thought it through to the end Seeing the Joker in the photos in Batman #37 (last issue) freaked me the fuck out. But yeah, I'm not too certain about Immortal Joker just yet. Though I am absolutely certain that Snyder and Capullo know exactly what they're doing, so I'm not worried about it.

Also, Snyder has confirmed several times that the events of Endgame are not a dream. This is all real.

I was trying to rack the obsurce batman knowledge section of my brain for who he was when they mentioned his name, but i gathered it from the quilt he had around him. and yeah, it was cool to see capullo draw it.

I'm on the fence about the Justice League stuff, part of me thinks it's a smart move, another part of me says it's too much.
I'm all for the Joker being immortal as long as they keep his origin from Zero Year intact, and by that I mean I want the Red Hood member who feel off the ledge to be The Joker. I don't want that (which was suppose to be J's true origin, or at least we thought so). If they can keep that, then I'm fine with it.

I don't like the joker having a set canon origin. Meaning, I like the idea that Red Hood One could be the joker and Batman created his own enemy, yet I don't want that to be the official origin of the joker. Same with the immortally, I like the idea that the joker could be immortal as it makes him so much more threatening and scary yet, I don't want that to ever be made completely official. What I'm saying is, the joker's origin should be left open for interpretation and allow fans to decide how he became the joker, or not. Some might even choose to not give him an origin at all and just leave it. Because the more we officially know about the joker, the less we fear him and the more "human" he becomes.

That seems to be the opposite of what Snyder is trying to do. right?

I don't care if the Joker has a concrete origin. I mean, he basically had a concrete one before, just with an asterisk next to it saying "well, it's just heavily, heavily, heavily hinted at it). Only difference this time is no asterisk. It's a new continuity, well the hell not?
