Doesn't making him immortal make us fear him more and make him less human though? This confused me. If you want him to be feared more immortal is the way to go. Why? Because he can't be stopped, he'll always win, and nobody has ever dealt with something like him before. If you want to make him less human immortal immortal is the way to go. Why? Because nobody knows what or how he knows and seen the things he has, and his mind, which already works much different than everybodyelses, has layers and layers of mystery and intrigue added to it, because not only does he have knowledge built up over the estimated 50 or so years we thought he had (i.e. how old he is), but now he's got a couple hundred years up there too.

Doesn't making him immortal make us fear him more and make him less human though? This confused me. I don't want Joker to have a definitive origin either. The less we know about him the better. I don't see him as a person. I see him as a force of nature. The mystery of "Batman creating him" is great to add some guilt to Bats but never finding out if he actually did create Joker is just as good. Making him possibly immortal makes the whole history between them even greater. The fact that if Batman chose to kill Joker he could possibly spring right back up and wreak havok again is awesome. If this is true he could never be stopped. Every other Bat villain (other than Ra's)can be stopped by killing them but his biggest foe may not be able to die. I forgot my point but...something. I like Joker?

So what's the deal with Harvey? In the Batman & Robin books he committed suicide, but he's still been mentioned and popped up in other issues.

I assume so right? I don't think anybody knows when it's set in the New 52 continuity. I think the arc came after Damian died, but I'm not sure.

Dent's death happened off panel. So it wasn't ever confirmed.

Joker being immortal explains why he could survive so long being faceless It also explains his fall at the end of death of the family, all those death traps that have back fired on him, etc.

I think that would kill you no? (If that was carried over into the New 52)
